No one explains just what a Zoalord is, but the powerful Masaki fills in the back story: humans are actually the product of biological weapons experiments by the alien Creators. The series ends on an inconclusive cliffhanger that implies a sequel, although none was ever made. The filmmakers were clearly running short of money, as the later episodes involve lots of still artwork and recycled animation. The last episode is presented only in English.
