It is made from 1060 High Carbon Steel for absolute strength and has a factory edge on it, but it can be sharpened to a razors edge. The blade shape is famous for it's clipped point that is good for piercing, but overall it retains a curvature that works with slashing too. Flat black powder coating is also added to the blade to protect the handmade 1060 high carbon steel, while the edge is bare showing the natural grain of the metalwork.
