The perforated wheel-pommel is set with a costume saphire and etched with the name "Robin of Locksley" on one side and "Earl of Huntington on the other). Why, you may ask? Because Robin of Locksley was his name. And because Anthony Munday wrote a play in the 1500s that featured the folk here Robin Hood as a nobleman, instead of as a commoner as he had been up to that point.
