Star of the popular "The Adventures of Robin Hood" television series, Richard Greene (Robin Hood) would reprise his role as the folk hero in "Sword of Sherwood Forest" (1960). This four (4)-piece ensemble is an original costume from Greene's film wardrobe. The ensemble includes: one (1) brown suede pullover tunic with a lace-up front-closure and long vented sleeves lined with blue silk; one (1) pair of rust-colored knit cotton tights with a drawstring; and a pair of two (2) gray-and-maroon striped period shoes. The tunic retains the internal United Costumers bias label, handwritten, "Richard Greene." The items are in good condition. The tunic exhibits small pinholes at the reverse and on the interior. There is slight staining on the right hanging sleeve and light stains at the shoulders. The pants also exhibit pinholes on the reverse. One side of the lace-up closure has been drawn inside. The shoes are slightly misshapen and worn, with light yellowing to the interior. The left shoe's feather is detached but present.
