They wore trench boots which were given the nickname "boondockers." The boondocker style shoe became the official working shoe of the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II. We've added this new Brown color to our boondocker line. Given the appearance of a fascinating boot, how it is constructed is more than you would expect from a mid-century style shoe. The boot starts off with a pig skin collar which gives the boot a luxurious look compared to other unlined boots.
